Just curious if anyone has taken this course? Would like to know if this program is as good as it sounds?

I'm think about signing up, but would like to have some input before I do so.

Thank you!

I'm on the second group of lessons - so far it is very basic but since I've been taking pictures for over 30 years (since Elemenary school & my first pinhole camera) I have forgotten some of the basics, or forgotten why they are what they are, so it has been pretty good. they still are updating the course but so far the ones they haven't updated are developing and exposure which don't need much updating other than some terms or references to non 70's technology.

if you are looking for that little bump to keep you learning i think it will be good - i was worried when my first 2 photo assignments were given "Excellent" grades but then a was slammed on my third so i felt better about it...

I signed up to NYIP recently, I've just finished reading unit one and now I need to go shoot my project photos.

As expected a lot of the first unit was already known to me (i've been taking photographs for around 5 years on and off.) but I think the audio is invaluable, you basically listen to three pros chatting about their experience.

I did a lot of reading online about them before committing to it, and there was barely a bad word about them.

I'd recommend it based on my experience of it so far!

They have their own forum NYIP Photo Forum • Index page were you can chat to other students.
