Default Weekly Poll: Are you getting camera gear this holiday season?

Ok, it's just a fun poll this week... since Christmas is coming up, I thought people might like to share if they're getting any new gear from Santa

So, will there be camera gear waiting under the Christmas tree, etc? Or was there camera gear (if you're reading this after Wednesday ).

And of course, that does make this the perfect opportunity to share all the fun new toys that you'll be using in the next year to take pictures with and show us all. So... let's hear!

I think so? I answered yes, because if I don't I'll just buy some for myself.

Already got everything I need and no one would buy me that sort of stuff cause they are all clueless when it comes to camera stuff.

Mine came in the form of my secret santa from work. A $25 gift card to the local camera shop - just enough to cover the majority of the cost for the wireless remote for my camera. Yay!

And unless you want to count my using part of the gift from my dad to purchase a spare battery, I'm pretty sure that's it as far as camera gear goes.

Oh, and I did pay my camera off in full yesterday. It is now, officially, 100% mine.

Merry Christmas to me

As in did I get a real camera bag to carry my stuff in so I don't have to bring a shoe bag to basketball games anymore? [big goofy smile] I don't think I have to answer that one.

And I'm looking to get myself a lens or two. Something wide angle to replace the kit lens that comes with the XT.

My parents gave me $50 (US) to get something for my camera. Yesterday I used it to get a Manfrotto ballhead for my tripod. I had to chip in a little extra, but that's just the way it goes sometimes.
