Default Thank you, DPS

A couple of weeks ago, I posted a photo in the Wildlife Critique section and got some good feedback on this photo.

I thought it was a pretty good effort on my part, but I took the constructive criticism and re-edited the photo to this.
Snowy Owl

Last night was my camera club's monthly competition, and I won first place in Color Salon Prints, Group B.

Had it not been for the input of my fellow DPSers, I never would have done this well in the competition.

A big thanks to all who commented.

I, er... prefer the first.

The sky in the second is just SO fake looking.

Well done Quo Fan, they both look great to me, and don't forget, it's the guy behind the lens who does all the work! Congratulations. PAUL

I like the first one better too, and that is the one that will probably hang in my house.

That is also the only sky I could find, and didn't really have time to shoot a new sky.

Stick with the first one, though you've done a good job with the PP, the first looks so much more natural than the second shot.

Not much wrong with the sky in the first to my eye.....it's a nice shot of a presumably captive owl? Maybe the bright patch top right could be toned down a little to even the sky out a little. If it was my shot I'd stick that one on the wall too
