I can't remember the model number of my first digital camera but it was a Sony. It used 1.44 floppy disks to record the image. I think the resolution was 480x640 max. It was revolutionary at the time.

My husband bought me a olympus camedia c4000 for christmas a while back when 4 megapixals was a big deal. Still have it. We took it to Hawaii this year, it is a good small camera to have with you when you traveling.

I had a Kodak 1 megapixel camera back in the day. It gave up the ghost as it stopped booting, so I replaced it with a 4 megapixel Kodak. I upgraded that to my 8 megapixel Pentax Optio A-10 point and shoot, and later added a Canon Digital rebel that I've upgraded to a Canon 30D.

Sony Mavica FD91 with 14x zoom and steadyshot, was mine too. Still have it in fact complete with its manual. Reminds me very much of todays super zooms, just a lot lower resolution

I got this camera a long time ago, probably back in 2000. It was a Polaroid PDC 700. It was a pretty cheesy camera. No zoom or anything and only like 8mb of internal memory.

My family bought a Canon PowerShot A40 for a vacation in 2002. We got a humongous 256mb card for it to store it's 2mp photos.

It's completely outdated, but we took it on a trip to Europe this past year and managed to take some great photos with it. Here's one of the Eiffel Tower that I took with it (color corrected in Photoshop):

Hi all, newbie here! The first digital camera I actually own I just bought about two weeks ago. A Canon EOS 400D. I knew I wanted something a little more sophisticated than a P&S and actually learn something about photography. Very happy with it so far.
