Default Hi everyone! Im new here!

Right now I'm using a Cannon G10. I know its not a DSL, but I just wanted something to start with before I invested in something more expensive. Im never without my camera, I am the one at every family event taking millions of pictures lol!I have an adorable 20 month old son who I constantly chase around with the camera lol! So I m basically looking for tips, and settings to use to get the best shots possible of my little guy. If anyone has any tips or suggestions I would appreciate it! Im also into cake decorating, so I take a lot of cake pictures and Ialso love taking pics of flowers and butterflies : )

Kelly : )

Welcome to DPS.

It's not the equipment, it's the photographer.

Its sad really, I have had this camera for some time now, and I haven't moved it off the auto setting. Im confused and don't really know where to begin.

Welcome to dPS . You will do fine with your G10 and you get off of those auto settings as you progress. Ask questions and you will get plenty of answers.
