Default Please help - raw images

I changed my setting on my camera, not knowing - to RAW format. I took some pictures and now I don't know what the heck to do with them. Someone please tell me what I need to do to get these pictures regular size. I tried doing an online search, but couldn't find a good answer. I don't have any software that converts it, that I know of. Input, anyone?!?!

Go onto the nikon site and see if there's a raw convertor program to download. BTW what program are you using.......photoshop or another? Sometimes the software disk that comes with the camera has a convertor program included.

I have photoshop elements 8 at home...hadn't used it much because I need to learn how to work it. For now I am just editing on picnik. I will have to check out the software disk when I get home. Thanks Jim!

Nikon's ViewNX (you can download this from the Nikon site) is free and will open/edit your RAW files. THE GIMP is also free and will open and let you edit your RAW files. Good luck.
