Question Should I sell it?

*feel free to move this thread to where it's applicable...I just didn't know where to put it*

So I have a broken Rebel XT with kit lens and charger for sale on a site, and someone messages me that they'll buy just the lens for $25. Should I sell it or keep it all together as one package? I'd love to sell the whole thing, and if not having the lens with it makes it harder to sell, I'd rather not sell the lens separately, kwim?

Being broken probably makes it hard to sell. Get what you can for the lens, maybe the charger and toss the paperweight, errr camera.

Me, I would sooner keep it than sell it for $25.

Is the lens broken as well, or just the camera?

The kit lens should be worth at least $60 if it's not broken, your post was somewhat ambiguous.

Sorry...my camera is broken and Canon Canada said it'll cost $350 for them to fix it so I bought a Nikon D3000 and want to sell my Rebel XT. Only the camera is broken, nothing else, and I'm sure it's only a small part of the camera that won't work too.

If I can get more than $25 for the lens I suppose I can sell it separately and maybe the extra battery & charger separately too.

Put the broken camera up for sale on Ebay (as is / for parts). There are a lot of people on there that buy broken electronics, and will give you pretty good money for your broken XT.

Selling something on eBay scares me. LOL But, I'll do that if I have to. I don't just want to throw it away.

it's easy to sell it on ebay, just only accept paypal. set the reserve on the auction for what you want out of the stuff. When they win the auction, send it out AFTER you receive payment.

Check the PTON there are people looking for broken cameras. Either for parts to repair their own or to experiment with. One sold on Fred Miranda for $75 last week and that was just for the body no accessories.

The kit lens might bring $50 on a good day unless you want to keep it for your new camera.

Here are a few people looking for broken canon camera bodies
