Tripod recommendations?

Hi all,
I'm looking to upgrade my wimpy pathetic tripod with something more sturdy. What do you guys recommend?

I just went through this process. I am very happy with the Calumet tripod and head combination (as well as the service) from Calumet Photographic. Take a look at their website and see if one of their deals strikes your fancy.
Or if you let us know more about what you will use your tripod for someone can make a more specific suggestion.

I have a Calumet store close to me too - they're always fabulous to get help from regarding any photographic matter. Plus they often have good educational sessions too.

Thanks for the responses guys. I'd like to start taking some long exposure photos (city lights, highways, moon). I also would use the pod for landscape photography.
Zona-thanks for the recommendation. I'll check them out.
Sox and Zona-do you guys have a model you recommend? I'd rather buy something that's overkill instead of replacing it down the road.
