Default The Challenges of buying the Nikon D3000

Well, I decided I wanted a Nikon D3000 in October. Then, I found a Nikon D40 at a pawn shop for $279 which is an amazing deal. It included a lens as well. But then I got to thinking that for a little over 200 more I could have a brand new camera with a warranty.

So we decided to go to Best Buy on Black Friday to get the D3000 for $499. They turned us down on credit even though we have credit score of about 670 and have Wal Mart, Lowes and Target cards. Best Buy said they were turning people down left and right.

So, now, I have somehow convinced my hubby that if I don't get a Nikon D3000 I will wither away and die. He's become more determined to find the D3000 at $499 than I have!

Well, today we're in luck. Found it at Sears for $499 this week and I'll be getting in on Wednesday, which is payday and just in time for my trip to Chicago!

I can't wait to share my shots!

Great news Heather. When it arrives go wild, but don't get too good girl, we don't want to be all put to shame. Can't wait to see your first shots. PAUL

I'm sure you'll love it. I picked one up this morning for the first time. My boss just got one for his birthday. He brought it in, sat it down in front of me, and said "show me how to work this thing." It really handles nice.

Well, my flight leaves at 9am and arrives at 2:30 so I have all day on the plane to play with it before touching down at O'Hare. Can't wait to go downtown and use it. We're going to the Shedd Aquarium!
