Default Creative Juices and Our Cameras

I haven't been registered with this sight for very long but in that short time I have seen so many outstanding photos and gathered so much information on cameras and how tos and it is much appreciated.

Thanks to everyone, even the novices such as I.

I have picked up this habit (my wife calls it annoyance) of whenever I see the word 'photo' on a magazine, I have to read that article to see what it is about.

Well, my wife is an 'uber'scrapbooker, even has the two daughters into it. She subscribes to a magazine (I shan't divulge the name, free advertising ) but on one of her issues that was lying on the floor of her "scrap"town (versus mantown) room, were the words "MUST TAKE Photos".

I picked up the mag and opened it to that article. The result was the following link...Yes, this mag has an online version of sorts.

BEFORE YOU CLICK ON THIS LINK ------- IT OPENS A PDF FILE

10 Can't miss photos to take each month

when the link is opened, it does divulge the mag's name, hopefully that is not a forum violation.

I tried copying the lists over but I kept getting too many images error from the forum preview. Plus I wasn't sure if it was a copyright violation.

I wasn't sure where to post this thread but figured this section was the safest bet and more folks might read it here versus somewhere else. If the mods feel it should be moved, please by all means ....

hopefully this little contribution is helpful to some and thanks again for letting me get schooled right here at DPS

Thats a really great list. Especially for those times when you hit that brick wall and are scratching your head wondering what to photograph
Thank you for sharing!

Yes, great list.

Much of it doesn't translate to countries/cultures outside of the US/Canada. BUT, it's a great idea, and I think I'll do some brainstorming to see if I can come up with some additional ideas that are more, ah, elsewhere appropriate.

If I were to make one that was Sri Lanka-specific, it would include Poya Days, Peraheras, Eid, Tamil & Sinhala New Year, elephants, cricket, trishaws, monitor lizards, cows in traffic, and so on.

After I posted the link I got to thinking as you did...it is culture specific but we as artists s/b able to compensate.

Thanks for the comments, I showed my wife the list and we spent part of yesterday snapping new pics for her calendars she makes for holiday gifts.
