[Don Vito Corleone voice]Everybody is entitled to my opinion[/Don Vito Corleone voice]

I shoot a Canon DSLR and a Pentax P&S. My wife shoots a Pentax DSLR, a Nikon advanced point and shoot and a Nikon Point and shoot.

If I ever call her equipment "inferior", she would bury me in the back yard.

I shoot Canon dslr, Kodak advanced P&S, and Nikon and Olympus film slrs. As far as I'm concerned, its all apples and oranges. Its all about what you are comfortable with. Some of my most popular and best selling photos were shot with my old Kodak 5mp p&s.

I see more folks using Canon equipment more than Nikon (which is what I use) and wonder if I should have bought a Canon. I got no problems with Canon folks...other than they probably are taking better photos than me...LOL

I prefer my Nikon to everyone i knows Canon's .... (my dad, bro and sis and best friend ALL use Canon gear) it just fits my hands, and my brain can cope with its workings, better and tbh i found it the best camera for my budget.

I dont get this gear rivalry thingy that people indulge in - happens with another of my hobbies too. Blagh sod it.

As someone else has said, the end result is what matters.
