How anyone that is serious about taking pictures can use anything but Nikon equipment is beyond belief [Just had to say that since I have Nikon equipment]

Actually I think all the major brands have good stuff and it really comes down to personal preference. If one was really that much better the others would go out of business. It is much like cars, there are markets for many brands and one is not better than another in all apsecs.

Opinions are iike a-holes......some are more rotten than others. I've been using Canon for forty years. If there was a better camera system out their I'd use it instead. While serving in the Navy we (photojournalist) were given Lecia cameras and lenses. If, only I had the money, I'd purchase those instead.

I doubt very much that with 40 years of experience and tens of thousands of dollars invested in canon, you would be willing to purchase another system and try it out.

Over three decades with Nikon and now I shoot with both Canon FF and Nikon FF. Like Jim, Leica is on my wish list.

Hahahahah, you're right about that, unless someone breaks into my car or Lecia would offer me a trade, lens for lens, body for body and flash for flash I trade straight across. Hell, if Nikon offered me the same deal, I'd switch for the 3D's and those new VR lenses and the flash system. Now, that's a sweet system, but I think Canon will even top that gear soon.

Besides, if I came home with a new camera system I had to pay for, my wife would bury me in somewhere the Grand Canyon, covered with molasses (I hate Molasses,) and next to the biggest fire ant mound she could fine

M9 is 'pocket size'. Didn't your friend loan you that Leica while he was out of town?

I'm struggling with the decision to buy a 200 f/2 or start using rangefinder system again with my aging eyes.

A friend of mine, Seatte Times staffer, was using a f1.8 200mm Canon lens with a 1.4 extender to shoot the Seattle U vs. Fresno State the other night.....now, that's a SWEET piece of glass The price tag is almost as much as my 400mm f2.8.
