I've noticed an increase in posts made by new users that are just spam. The users only have the one post.

Posts are just a copy/paste of a section of another post made by another user either in that thread or in another thread in the same section. Signature is always the same: advertising economy-related advice in france/french.

The users all seem to have cantonese sounding user names.

Note to moderators: I've reported two of them thus far, but there are others i simply ignored.

That is usually the first thing I look for anytime I log on the forum.

Please keep reporting them if you come across them.

We've already got quite a lot of anti-spam measures in place. Rather than being bots (automated programs) these postings may well come from people taking a (probably minimal) wage to post spam. As Lori says, please report them.

Also, be careful about what links you click on. Anything from someone you don't know could be suspect (and sometimes even from people you do know). Anything offering stuff to help with finances on a photography related site almost certainly is pink and spammish!

I just found it funny because theyre taking sections of posts and simply copy/pasting them: I noticed on one thread that they had posted part of one of my own posts ("Hey, that sounds familiar...") but then I saw that someone had simply quoted the previous post!
