Default Site Critique please

my blog/site is new an I am horrible at blog design and such. So some ideas or critiques would be helpful. I am in process of moving my old site to the wordpress platform.

I also have been debating on whether or not to do tutorials on my stuff or keep it purely photos.
help there would be appreciated as well.
thank you.
Larry

On which one of the sites listed in your sig do you want critique?

In the meantime, the first thing I would recommend is finding someone to proof-read your text. I found a number of typos and grammar foul-ups on both sites. Speaking strictly for myself, I have a difficult time taking someone's web pages seriously if they aren't grammatically correct. For example, the image that links to "http://www.darkmansdarkroom.com/hollywood-glamour-photos-and-how-to-take-them/" reads, "Hollywood Glamour Photo's And How To Take Them." That apostrophe in "Photo's" is simply wrong.

You can't get away from the damn grammar nazis anywhere can you?
For grammar correction, check out "After the Deadline," a plugin for wordpress, it should help you out.
I really like the "magazine style" design, it works well with your shooting style!
I also use wordpress in conjunction with smugmug, my site is a fusion of both.

Well thanks for taking the words out of my mouth, he's right, but yeah, there's a limit too.
thnaks for the words on the mag style. I was going to use a larger image on the front page, such as 585x745 instead of 585x300, what do you think?
Thanks
Larry

I spent alittle time on both sites. I do really like how you have two concepts...one more or less business and one more or less about you and your photography. The thread that runs through both is your great photography. I do not know much about web design...but I do know how to surf and as long as I can navigate easily I am content. Your personal site was easy to get around and I found the "related articles" links helpful....and pin-ups never hurt my eyes!

Don't use acronyms. Spell it out. Say make up artist and make up, NOT MU or MUA.

I in tend on putting up a glossary page. And if I am going to be in the photo industry, I'm going to be using acronyms. Why shouldn't I if I intend on helping others to learn?

thanks for the response.
