another dumb question...
what is HDR processing?
I have yet to learn photography lingo.....

HDR stands for High Dynamic Range. It's a combination of photos of various exposure settings to create extreme darks, extreme lights to produce a photo that is closer to what the eyes can see ( our eyes see a wider range of colors and tones than our cameras do).
