Default Mouse, Trackball or pen tablet what do you use?

I am getting back into photography after a very long absence, as I look at the tutorials, before and afters and such, I began to wonder when you are doing close up work PP ie getting rid of floating hairs, removing unwanted subjects, etc are many of you using your mouse or something else to draw the lines needed around your subject?

I currently have a trackball and mouse, been wondering if getting a pen tablet would work better?

Thoughts and ideas are greatly welcome

Rick

Default I have been using my pen and tablet for almost 2 years!

I used a mouse and trackball in the past but once I got used to my pen and tablet, I unplugged my mouse and never used it again.

There is a learning curve to using the tablet but once you get used to it you won't miss your mouse at all!

Wacom Intuos or better is industry standard. They have a cheaper bamboo line too. I'm thinking about getting the medium intuos4 for my girlfriend for christmas.

I use a track ball and a Bamboo medium tablet. The track ball for the point and click type stuff and the tablet for the editing that requires outling objects and such. The tablets are very cool. Still learning on mine.

I too am a total Wacom addict. I purchased my first one a few years ago where it sat for about a year. Then I made myself learn how to use it and would now be lost without it. You cant beat it for doing deatils in your processing

Pen Tablet - Bamboo, been thinking about getting a larger one but it's not really necessary for the edits I do.

Currently I use a Kensington Turbo Mouse Pro (Large trackball) for general editing and an Aiptek Slimtablet for more precise/involved editing. It's really a pretty nice large tablet for under $150.00...I keep considering a Wacom...
