ok, off the wall question here.
My mom has a 100 year old canvas portrait that was shipped to her by family, and they did not insure it, unbeknowest to her. So yep...you guessed it... In the shipping, the company did not protect the canvas good enough and something punctured through the canvas and left a triangular rip. She has asked me if I know how to fix it. I'm assuming some sort of restoration place, but honestly I have no idea. Does anyone have a recommendation for a place that can fix a rip in a 100 year old canvas painting? Or can it even be done? My poor mother, she is so upset. Thanks for any suggestions and recommendations. (By the way, she is in Orlando FL if that makes a difference.)

Google turned up a reference to this place in West Palm. A bit of a drive, and I suspect the cost won't be inexpensive.

I have no experience with them, just something I found on Google. |

Thanks for those recs...I'll forward them on to her and let her know they are just from a Google search. At least it will give her a starting point.
BryanC, yours looks promising, and they do free consultations. My mom lives 10 minutes outside of downtown. Thanks!
