Question Photography courses

Just looking into some photography courses and wondered if anyone has any feedback for me. I don't live in a major city and would therefore need something that could be done by distance education. I have already done a degree (in teaching) so I'm not overly keen on going back to uni... I'd rather a course that was more practical and hands-on.

Currently I'm looking into the distance course run by the Creative Institute of Australia UR Creative - CIA: Creative Institute of Australia, Photography, Advertising & Marketing, Photoshop Training Courses

I'd appreciate any feedback you have on this matter!

Hello Elliepickmeup,

Welcome to DPS.

I don't know where you are, but you maty be able to find a local evening college or even a photo club in your area that you may be able to get some help from.

I've been photographing things for many years and decided early this year to get some formal training and increase my skills by doing a course.

I have a local professional photographer, Greg Ford: Sutherland Shire Photography - Digital photography classes - Wedding - Portrait - Events photographer - Sydney South.

who conducts several courses over the year.
The more I learned, the less I knew. But now I know I don't now much. Thats Gregs philosophy and he realy is good at what he does.

Good luck with your photography and you can learn a lot from this forum.

Cheers,

John W

NYIP.com has good reviews. I've signed up with them and I am now awaiting delivery of the first unit.
