Default Can anyone help?

Hi,

Maybe what I'm thinking here is 'trying to do the impossible' but I thought I'd ask for help if anyone knows if this can be done or how it can be done.

Recently my mum lost her 2 cats she had within a month of each other (one was expected as she was around 17-18 yrs old [my old cat], the other unexpected). On a couple of visits down there I happened to capture some photos of them, albeit some not too good (a little blurred etc [still getting used to my dslr]).

These photos have been uploaded to the comp from my 8gb card. I have an unused 32m memory card (which came with my old point and shoot which had an unfortunate accident). I am wondering is there any way in which I can put the photos onto this card. I've loaded the card into my camera but not sure how to go about it. She has a point and shoot in which she can use it (either get them printed or look at them via it [she doesn't have a comp, if she did it would have been alot easier, hence my asking whether this can be done]).

If anyone has some info for me as to how or even if this can be done I'd love to hear from you. My camera is a canon eos1000D if that helps in any way.

I hope someone can help.
Thanks.

P.S I wasn't sure what forum to put this in so if its in the wrong forum please move it, thanks.

Easiest thing to do would be to use a card reader on your computer to format and load up the card, and then see if it works in her camera. If it doesn't, then you may have to try and duplicate how her camera names files and organizes them in folders.

Why not just order her some inexpensive prints and have them sent to her?

I'm not sure why you want to move them to a different card to print them. Just send them to any of the decent online labs, or burn them to a CD and take them to your local one-hour photo lab.

Putting them on a card and back into another camera is a good way to end up damaging the files or loosing them altogether.

some cameras have the abilty to change how they are identified when connected (i.e. drive or device) but I don't think this is going to help...your camera is already being seen as a drive I think. You should be able to just drag/drop using explorer/finder.

Put the card in her camera and have her format the card. Take a picture with her camera. Take the card out and put it in your computer then copy the cat pictures onto the card using the same naming convention that's on the card (i.e. IMG_0032.jpg).

Not guaranteeing this will work but it's worth a shot.

Another option along with the other great ones here... How about one of those digital frames. You can upload the photos in there and she can see them all the time.
