Before I answer, I have a few questions. Are you going to celebrate that weekend rather than on the day? I figure you may not want to share the limelight with a turkey. Also, I'm not familiar with your area...are you close to a major city?

Hit the streets, shoot whatever you want and shoot down to your favourite store and empty your wallet. It's your B-day, have fun

Since you live near a major city there's got to be lots of things that you've wanted to do but haven't done yet. If you're a foodie go to a high end restaurant where you've always wanted to eat, then you could do the VIP treatment at a nightclub with your friends. I live near San Francisco and there are clubs here that will reserve tables at no charge and do bottle service for an additional charge which is totally VIP. You could club hop all night and then have a birthday breakfast on your last stop (at 3 a.m. of course ).

Oh, something else totally fun is taking a tour of a big city that you already know...it's fun to be a tourist sometimes and you could probably get some cool shots too. Do they have those double decker bus tours in Houston? You may be able to get a group rate with your friends.

Ooh, or what about a spa day! Even if the whole shebang is too much, maybe a massage and mani-pedi, then out to show off your sparkling nails.

I saw your post about the beach and I think that's an awesome idea even if it's cold. If the beach allows fires you could make s'mores and just hang out on the beach with some music.

Sorry if you were thinking of just photography things...I'm thinking more in terms of random fun. Happy early birthday!

Suzanne
