Another milestone and unless I missed a post, one that passed unnoticed again. It is a good time, like New Year's Day, to reflect, review, rant or rave, and isn't too late to note how DPS has been influencing your 2007.

A childhood wish to see and record the world-at-small became real for me, thanks to a suggestion from wulf. This has produced a collection of commercially successful shots and a dream realized.

This DPS mixture of pro and beginner gives me an opportunity to help and be helped, always a good balance in life. The creativity comes from all sources and is generously shared, adding to the site value.

Resolutions might be a different take for a Thousand-mark thread; I resolve to look for the positive first and primarily in Critique, as that has helped me the most.

What do you resolve to do to make this an even better Forum?

We ought to change your member title from "Honoury Member" to "Milestone Spotter"!

A good idea for a discussion to mark it as well. I think I might take my habit of sometimes digging up photos that got passed over in the Critique forum and apply it to other sections.

A resolution for me regarding DPS is to encourage even more and help the entire site to go from 8000 members to 8000 friends by getting a few threads going regarding other things going on in all our lives. We all know that each of us enjoy photography but how much else do we know about our online community of friends? Not much really and I think its about time we all get to know each other a bit better. Not saying your deepest darkest secrets should be thrown out there but there are things that can make each post more personal once we learn more about the poster.
Not sure if this forum can get much better....I honestly have never been part of a site that is so positive all the time and so respectful for one another.
Gotta say I love this site and hope to be part of it far a long long time.....

I have to say I came across this site a few weeks ago and just love it.
I've always been a Photography enthusiast, starting with a Photography class back in high school and wished I took more..
Now I'm 33 years old with a Point and shoot camera.. but 99% sure I'll buy me a present, Canon XTi
I look forward to learning more from everyone here.

I guess I resolve to evolve and help others whichever way I can to improve and have new photographs and new posts at least twice or thrice a week...

Go DPS!!

i agree with pinball. in all the years ive been on the net, all the forums and sites ive been to involving my hobbies, i never post in threads. why, because iam quite ashamed of my spelling grammer and punctuation. it takes me such a long time to post in threads, i get frustrated and just give up. i dont feel as stupid here at DPS, and i try to make an effort. thanks to you guys for making this site a very pleasant experience.

i'll make a fool of myself i am sure....

i have learned so much in the last few months of my internship here at dps.... i feel my learning curve took a sharp upward angle since july....and my one hope for 2008 is to stay here and keep that curve acute...

my thanks go to a precious few here....those who seemingly held my hand in those first tentative days of exploration.....wulf with his ever critical eye...nicole whose heart is filled with patience....and jiminy, god bless jiminy, who doesn't feel he has the time to fill all needs but seems to find the time to try.....

anyway.....i plan to stick around.....
