Default Photography schools/ courses in Sydney?

Hi all,

This post is for Australians... I kept looking at the advice about photography schools, but all seem to be in US...

Can anyone recommend a good course in Sydney please? I have seen a Photography degree at Raffles College, but its a 3 year degree (and even if i seem to be in the process of collecting degrees, i would prefer something shorter ideally).

Any suggestions please?

I would be deeply grateful if someone could give me some advice as just searching through the net doesnt give me the best info (i enrolled into a graphic design diploma a while ago and it was the biggest waste of my time ever, but the info on their website looked fantastic). I would not want to repeat that experience.

Thank you so much.

Alexandra

I know that there are plenty of courses, diplomas, dgrees up there.. I just want to make sure that i find one that has at least as much practice as theory and it is really useful...

Anyone?

Hello Alexandra,

I don't know where you live in Sydney, but Greg Ford runs a fantastic course at Como West Girl Guides hall. A ten week course including shoots at Camelia Garden, Como Pleasure grounds and a nigh shoot at Cronulla Beach and a Studio shoot, with all the lights and props you need, for $199 all up.

Sutherland Shire Photography - Digital photography classes - Wedding - Portrait - Events photographer - Sydney South.

So if you're near the Shire you should give it a try, I did and learn't so much.

Cheers,

John W

Thank you so much, John.

It definitely sounds like a great workshop. I live in North Sydney, but i think that i could make it work and the cost seems extremely low for what is offered. Thank you once again. I will give it a try.
