I got some good news a few days ago , my photograph (The Port Beckerdon Lighthouse Drop )has made it to the simi finals in the Metro Global contest and is now open for public vote . I am adding the email I got it has the link ,I am so excited !!!!. I have ask permittion to post this and Wood tells me it is fine to post it here . To vote from the link choose English Canada the next page click on the VOTE and the top 30 photos will appear ,click the little box beside the photo you like best . I would love to have your support if you think my photo is the best in English Canada , I made it through round 1 ,pro judges picked mine out of nearly 11,000 this is round 2 and from here if I make it it would be a global challange .

Your photo has been selected as one of the lucky semi-finalists in Canada for the Metro Global Photo Challenge! We had nearly 11,000 photos entered in the contest so even getting this far is quite the feat.



Starting today – your photos are going to be voted on by the general public – The photo with the most votes in each category will be deemed the finalists for Canada and will then compete on the global stage against finalists from around the world!



Your job now is to tell everyone you know to go online to METRO Photo Challenge: Vote and to vote for your photo!





Your photo will be on display at a special two week exhibition at the West Edmonton Mall starting on November 16th 2009 – please send me the highest resolution version of your photo so we may get it printed and framed for the display. I need your photos sent to me no later than November 4th 2009.



If you happen to live in Edmonton or will be in Edmonton on the 16th of November please let me know as we are having an opening night soire and would love for you to be in attendance.
