Default Online photography courses

Has anyone here done one of these? I'm considering signing up for one, just to kind of push me in the right direction. I've been taking random snapshots for years but only recently been interested in making good photographs. I've read alot of articles here and have already learned a lot, but I'm still wanting something a bit more "structured" in addition to this awesome website. I have read a bit about NYIP and there was an ad here for Proud Photography. I was hoping someone here would be nice enough to tell of their experiences with things like this. Thanks!

Hi
i did an online photography course a few months ago. it was not very detailed, but it was very good and interesting. you learn the basic details you need to know as a beginner. then it's up to your practice and creativity to improve! it's called photographyicon.
i hope this helps you

Not exactly photography, but for post processing - I really liked lynda.com courses.. they are great if you are going to dedicate a good chunk of time to learning a piece of software of your choice... not as good if you are planning to spend a couple of hours per week though, because they charge you by the month for unlimited acess.

I have done a couple of on line courses through UWA Extension, in Western Australia, although most of the students seemed to be from USA. The course went for 6 weeks - 2 lessons per week, with assignments, links to further reading, posting samples on line for critique, you can ask and get answers to questions, then there was a "test" at the end. I found the course really good, although the critiques were often a bit "airy fairy" - not constructive enough for me.
