As the name implies, I work in a bank.... specifically, I handle banking for small businesses.

Well, my 2c used to be 2p, and after 1/2 my life having fun as a field Tech for computerized cutters, I've slipped down the pole a bit to be an industrial maintenance tech, in plastic thermoforming.

For the last few years, I have been in the steel making industry and after a 6 month lay-off, I'm now working in a brand new coke making facility (coke as in making steel).

So your the reason why our steel prices keep going up!! How much they paying you over there!!

I've been a Sheetmetal Mechanic for 22 years now. Started out in the construction/HVAC side of it, now working in a plant making self-storage facilities. Our steel prices fluctuated so much over the past 2 or 3 years it's been crazy. The biggest reason probably being the lack of Coke making facilities along with the industrial revolution going on in China.

That damn Coke!! Was trouble for me in my youth & it's trouble for me today.

I'm a Martial Arts Instructor (testing for 5th degree black in 2 weeks) and Seismologist. I measure vibrations caused by construction activities like pile driving, blasting and demolition.

I am a stay at home mom. I started doing photography about 2 years ago to support my habbit. I am learning more every day and enjoying the ride.

Yeah, well, I own approximately three quarters of India right now. Have a few skyscrapers being constructed in Dubai. My yacht, "Aperture" is currently being chartered off the south of France by "The Donald", he can only afford to have her for the week. My private islands (yes, plural) in the Bahamas host several "8 Star" resorts. I figured 5 stars was cheesy so I added 3. Diversity, baby!!!! Yeah, can you feel it??? Whoooo!!!!!

Oh and since they won't GIVE me one, I'm thinking of purchasing a Nobel Prize.

How did I become so rich???? I help people locate the nearest 5bucks....I mean Starbucks. Duh!

Seriously, we have some smart people on here!!!!! Gosh. I feel so inadequate!!!!

I'm actually a student right now, studying for my real estate license. I took a prelim qualifying exam when I was 16 last year and passed the state and national real estate tests. Other than that, I do real estate photography (go figure). That's it.

I agree with so many others and totally enjoy this type of thread. I've been curious about what people on DPS do for their 'day jobs' so thanks for starting this off beth0b.

I'm a business analyst for a furniture and housewares retailer. My job is closer to the functional end rather than the tech. Our team does process improvement and project management for software implementations. My last job was with a DOD contractor that makes UAVs so this is kind of a switch for me. I don't know that I'll ever get used to it but at least I'm getting some great discounts on furniture that I never would be able to afford at full price.

I'm VP of a small design and construction company. Principally I do design and project management. My trade expertise is interior fixtures, cabinetry and millwork, but I can design, engineer, and build just about anything in a building except heavy structural. Recently I just wrapped up some really fun work at a new VIP club in San Diego.

I shoot people and places for fun, but seriously shoot interior architecture for use in business. It's mostly a marketing tool, but also a nice income boost when I do shoot for hire. I've shot casually since I was 16, but only invested in real equipment mid last year. I've worked with a variety of creative design software for the last 15 years.

Hi,

Currently unemployed due to redundancy. It sucks. I am a supply chain co-ordinator by trade, procuring materials and planning production before arranging despatch of goods to customers. Have managed to keep some big names happy like, Jaguar, Land Rover and Aston Martin so from that you can see that I was in the automotive industry. Have also done Land surveying.

Give us a job!!!!!!!
