I'm a Systems Engineer, designing and testing navigation systems for helicopters. My degree is in electrical engineering, which is how I make all my nifty little sound triggers for speed photography

On the weekends, I own and operate Red Curtain Photo Booth (Red Curtain Photo Booth) for a little extra income. The photo booth was built from scratch, using my own home-made software to interface with the camera and printer.

I am a branch manager for an automotive body shop supply store. Always loved cars, specifically the refinish end of it! I love my job, even though it is quite stressful at times. The big plus is being able to work with colors daily!

I worked in printing for 30 years, around half of that was on heat set presses, the rest was all newspaper. I was a supervisor for 10 years before moving to Florida.

I retired in June of 2008 at 50 years old, now I'm a beach bum surfer / photographer.

Life is good.

Thanks for the replies so far, keep them coming!

When I was 5 years old, my mom always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down “happy.” They told me I didn’t understand the assignment and I told them they didn’t understand life.

I describe myself as a wife, mother, artist and accountant. I passed the CPA exam back in July and am waiting certification (hopefully next month). I've made my living weaving baskets, designing and sewing wedding dresses, repairing books, operating a retail website, and as an accountant, so far!

When I work, I am a mechanical engineer. I have a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) degree, but I am currently unemployed, as a lot of people can relate to.

Photography has always been a passion of mine, but I don't know if I could step into doing it for a living.

This is fascinating reading. So many technically minded peeps! My son has Asperger's and I asked him what he wants to do when he grows up and he said he wants to be a archeologist I was like wow! He is very smart! I've learnt more from him since he started school at 4 than from any teacher from school. He was giving me a lechture on protons, neurons and some other atom the other day. It went straight over my head but he is a genius! He's only 10!

This'll make you laff. My mum's German. He's learning about WWII at school. The other day he said to my mum "Oma, were you born in the 40's" and she said that she was born in 1940 so she was born during the war to which he said "Did you meet Hitler? and if we lost the war would we all be slaves right now?". He makes me smile!
