I'm a data manager for my local school system, as well as a teachers assistant at a school for children who have special needs. I do alot of the photography for our school, and ALL these kids are such HAMS for the camera.
Photography has always been a passion of mine. I have (since middle school) never been ANYWHERE without a camera. Something just compelled me to take it a little more seriously as of late, so I went wild, bought what for me, is an expensive camera (for starters), and joined this site.
I look foward to learning new tricks, and getting feedback from everyone. My goal is to be the best photographer I can be.

For now I work at Kmart.. yuck! But the money I make goes towards equipment. Trying to break thru into the photog. industry. Hoping to become a motorcycle racing photographer, with an emphasis in flattrack. I am actually sponsoring a pro rider, Henry Wiles!
And my second job is being a wife to a motorcycle racer. Its a full time, year round job! But i wouldnt trade it for the world...

I'm lucky that the hubby has a good job otherwise I'd have to steal food.
Hi, My Life is Pink--I'm waving to you from over in Milton!

Wow, so much talent around here--it's a little overwhelming. But I'll throw in my two cents anyway.

I'm a retired naval parachute rigger/officer, currently teaching English at the University of West Florida, doing a little writing on the side, and as much photo shooting as I can fit in. I've always felt primarily verbally oriented, but photography allows me to exercise my visual perception.

Looking forward to my second retirement, in 2 to 3 more years.

Hello Pink and Juju and everyone else from around the world.... waving from Panama City, FL!

I take pictures of babies in the womb... technically speaking I'm a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in an OB/GYN doctors office. I love my job 90% of the time when its not depressing or frustrating. I also have a degree from the University of West Forida (hey Juju!) in Psychology that really helps to deal with pregnant women, LOL!
I have loved photography since high school. I would love to take formal classes but I live in a small town so currently none are available Pleading with my husband for DSLR *Nikon D90* for Christmas so I can expand my love for the hobby, maybe Santa will be extra generous to me this year! And I love this website/forum.

I used to be an accountant, self-employed. Then I realized I wanted to be a writer, so started dabbling in my spare time. Then I moved halfway around the world to marry a man I hadn't met in person yet, and suddenly, I became a kept woman. :P Since I no longer have to work, I'm not. I write, mostly fiction (science fiction and fantasy). I've also worked at freelance writing & editing. And I putter around the house, taking care of the husband. And I take photos.

Incidentally, the husband's grandfather used to own a cocoa plantation here in Sri Lanka. Not that he's asking for anyone to handle his millions of dollars or anything...

I am a First Class Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy currently running a damage control division onboard an aircraft carrier. When Sailors call 911 we are the guys that show up. I just bought a Nikon D40 and I am loving the hobby. I need to practice more and do some workshops. I used to just take pictures to have a subject to draw but now I want to incorporate it into my art that I never have time for.
