Which is why I started this thread! I wanted to see what people do outside of this common connection we all have. It's cool to see just how diverse everyone's interests and jobs can be, and yet we still all like/love photography..

Great thread, as others have said an amazingly diverse group. Just a comment, I sometimes go to the public profile of a poster, usually because I,m interested because of the picture they have posted, but it's often disappointing that there is nothing under "about me"

Hi Douglas. I feel the same way about the public profiles. It would also be nice if the Biography portion was a bit longer...but I digress. I really enjoy this thread also. I keep coming back when I see new replies!

After working as a Restaurant General Manager for ten years, I quit my job to have the twins. I now stay at home and work part time doing taxes ( for fun) and running my little photography obsession.

I love reading how diverse this group is!

I am an occasional teacher (the pc term for sub!) hoping to one day teach kindergarten full time. (Teachers are often waiting 5 years to get a contract here, don't know how the jobs are in other places). Daddyo is a pilot for a regional carrier in Ontario, Canada, which is our steady income. Maybe when we retire we'll get into a little paid portraiture, since neither of us can be without a project. Until then, it's a shared hobby, nice since we have more time together since the kids have started kindergarten. Although soon we may have to get another camera

I must say it is as you say so many diverse different types of jobs that everyone is doing, but each and everyone do enjoy photography.
Thank you for starting this tread by asking what type of job every DPS member is doing for a living.
