My work got stolen

I am doing an events in other day , these images are supposed to go into a newspaper

and I charge 15pounds per picture if used in newspaper, if none of the picture is good, then I would not charge..

However, I gave them image for them to have a look and pick what they want , and they said they are not going to use them at all

somehow, they copied those image while I am not aware....

and were publised ..

How can I do?

Seconded... and remember to include the cost of transport to and from the event, post processing at £25 per hour, "administration" etc

Do you have the original as a RAW file? As that will be undeniable proof that you took the shot.

Letter 1:

"Dear Sirs,

I am glad you liked my photographs and used them in your publication. The prices as quoted when I sent the proofs for you to select from are £XYZ. I look forward to receiving my payment within 28 days."

Letter 2

"Dear Sirs,

This is an invoice for payment of £XYZ for use of my images on such and such a date in your publication.

Invoices should be paid in full by 31/11/2009. Outstanding payments by this date will be passed to a debt collection agency"
