Don't know much about Photoshop. But, GIMP is free, and can do way more than even the above average user needs. You can go very far with GIMP if you know what you are doing. The technique you are speaking of is called "Selective colorization". It is where you have the majority of the image desaturated to b&w and elements in color. I would try to explain it to you, but I'm a tad short of time at the moment. What you can do is google "Selective colorization in Photoshop" or whatever editing program you want. Hope that helps.

I agree that many times i dot ask questions because of the "stupid factor"... So i generally (but not always) try to research to see if i can find an answer without asking... If i cant, i ask and i dont feel stupid. It helps to admit that i dont know everything...
