Default Eye-Fi Wireless SD cards any long term users ?

The Eye-fi product has finally arrived in the UK and I have just written a review and I completely love the product. I was wondering if there were any US users on here who have used the Eye-Fi for longer periods ? The review unit has to go back but the Pro version offers RAW transfer (but costs) more and I am very very tempted. Anyone used them ?

review is here Eye-Fi hits the UK : Full Review | TotalApps

My problem is the lack of RAW file compatibility: it'll transfer the jpgs without a problem, but not my RAW files.

My camera won't take SD cards. So until they make them for CF's I'm out of the game.

It is my understanding the std versions offer jpg (like the one I reviewed) but a pro version is available that is obviously more expensive that can handle RAW files. I am just concerned that given the size of RAW files it would be unworkable in the real world ?

I can maybe see a use for pros who shoot tethered in a studio or next to a laptop at a spoting event or such like. Somewhere the speed of having the pictures ready to send is important.

For 99% if people it would just be a waste of money.

The reveiw states:
"Transferring photos from digital SLR cameras means coming homing, connecting the camera to the computer then manually uploading the photos to your favourite sites."

Since I shoot raw, I always sit down at the computer to process them in Lightroom. I see zero value to such a card as it is probably much faster to plug my normal CF card into my computer to upload the pictures. Sounds like a cute gimmick with little need.

If they were to make them for CF where I could use them I think my main concern would be speed and reliability. Would they be able to compete with an actual wireless transmitter?
