Default Help How to attach photo when it says file size too big?

Still trying to figure things out...any help in being able to upload a photo to my post when the message states that the file size exceeds the allowable amount would be greatly appreciated. I've tried cropping the photo but just can't seem to make it work....knowledge is power and I am weak.

Thanks for any help.

PCYarrow,

Quickest answer: see the headings above, "User CP" then "FAQ?" Click there, questions you haven't even asked yet are answered there. Even not, come back.

Click everything. Pleasant surprises await. Go south to "Techniques" for everything "How-to" and fun stuff. And Welcome.

Tell us more about the photo (what are the dimensions? what is the format? what is the file size?) and the software you have available.

Or, alternatively, sign up for a free service like Flickr, which makes it easy to upload pictures (up to 10MB in size) and will create smaller sizes automatically, which can then be shared. Their medium size is great (500px along the longest edge) for showing your picture without swamping the forum.
