Default Had to share this article with you

This may seem silly, but this story is on the front page of the U-Haul web site and is sent out in their newsletter to every single dealership in the United States AND Canada. I couldn't ask for better advertising!

Oh and by the way, I own a U-Haul dealership that I do in my spare time.lol

Sorry about that guys, here's the article minus the photos:

Colorado dealer doubles as award-winning photographer

TRINIDAD, Colo.—For as long as Michelle Goodall can remember, she’s had a camera in her hands. As she explains it, holding the camera means she doesn’t have to be in the photos, and that works out well for everyone: Michelle avoids being in front of the camera and the rest of us get to admire her award-winning photos!

Goodall is the office manager at Trinidad Self Storage and U-Haul Dealership (050-308), as well as a professional photographer. The flexible hours at the dealership allow her more time to pursue her passion for photography, while at the same time providing steady income during these uncertain economic times.

“Both of them play huge parts in my life,” she emphasized. “In this economy, it’s nice to have two sources of income complementing each other and allowing me to do what I love.”
A lock in time

Goodall began doing photography professionally about 10 years ago.

“I showed one of my photos to a friend, and she said I should enter a contest that a local gallery was having,” Goodall reminisced. “I entered and I won, and that got me thinking that I might as well make money on something that I really enjoy doing!”

Goodall’s Web site, www.alockintime.com, features most of her work, which runs the gamut from photos of landscapes and wildlife to wedding and baby portraits. She said “A Lock in Time” sums up her feelings on photography.

“When you take a photograph, you are locking that moment in time,” she observed.
Worldwide accolades

Over the years, Goodall’s photos have been published in several magazines, including National Geographic, and her work has been featured in galleries and museums all over the world. Currently, one of her photos, called “La Veta Train,” is hanging at Denver International Airport.

“La Veta Train is an old steam engine that runs from Alamosa, over La Veta Pass and on to the mountains,” Goodall explained. “One day I was in a park when it pulled up, so I shot some photos of it. That particular photo is very unique, because it almost looks 3-D.

“I got an e-mail asking if I wanted to submit it to be hung at the airport,” she continued, “so I decided to enter it and it got accepted. It was one of only 10 they accepted out of hundreds of entries!”

“La Veta Train” will hang at the airport until the end of the year, when it will be moved to the Colorado Governor’s Mansion. It will be on display there for several more months.
“I am U-Haul!”

Goodall has won many national accolades for her work, but no matter how much recognition and praise she receives for her photography, many people in Trinidad still will associate her with U-Haul.

“Trinidad is such a small town,” Goodall noted, “so people call my cell phone all the time when they need to rent U-Haul equipment. To them, I am U-Haul!”
