Default Saying "I apologize" and "I'm Sorry"...

... mean the same thing.

Unless you're at a funeral.

I've been know to say "Over my dead body!!" - at a FUNERAL

Do men say sorry? Or I apologise?? I thought it was a foreign language to them.

On the subject of inappropriate things at funerals....

I dance on a competition clog dancing team -- NO, we do not wear wooden shoes!!!!!! Think of clogging along the lines of Riverdance. Very similar, but clogging is cooler!! . Ok, so anyway, there is this lady on one of our non-competitive teams that is 76 year old (or fairly close). She loves the song "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk" by Trace Adkins talking about a woman's butt and stuff. Well, she demands that all the cloggers dance to the song at her funeral!!!!!! So demanding in fact, she even has it written in her will apparently!!

Quite the contrary. Saying sorry means you have confidence and know what it means to apologize

Of all the completely random things you've suddenly decided to start posting, this one I have to respond to. Apologizing and being sorry are distinctly different things, as any one with children can attest. You can be sorry you did something, but not apologize for it, and, conversely, you can most certainly apologize and not in the slightest be sorry.

For example, I apologize for hijacking this thread with a pedantic discussion.

Of course, I'm not sorry.

It was meant to be a joke

Implying that someone in the "I apologize" statement actually caused the persons death
