Help Photography - Anyone Interested?

Hi All!

A friend of mine sent this link to me and I thought I would share. I think this could be very cool and a lot of fun...has anyone heard of it? Anyone already involved? Check it out:

I'm located in the bay area, and I'm down to do it

Seems like a big effort...not sure it's something I want to take on. But I like the idea.

From the video, it looks like you'll need:

1. Photograhers (easy to find)
2. Hair/Make-up people (shouldn't be too hard)
3. Venue (hotel donation?)
4. On-site printing (if possible)
5. Food donation (if possible)
6. On-site photo editting (only needed if printing on-site)
7. Marketting (probably get free air-time on local radio, free press in local paper).

Seems like an awful waste of time and resources. It looks like this guy wants photographers to take portraits for people who can't afford them totally for free. I'm sorry but point and shoot cameras are dirt cheep now a days, you can also go out and buy a cheep disposable camera if you need a picture of yourself.

I'm not going to waste my time finding someone that needs their picture taken, take their picture, give them free prints and be on my way. I'd rather donate 5 bucks to some organization that actually does some good like the Red Cross or Salvation Army.

These people need help not pictures this is a stupid idea.
