Default 2 questions / topics :

1. I have several different CF cards for my Canons. 3 of the 5 I have are SanDisk Ultra II. Is there a specific type of CF card I should be using or better than others? Have not figured this out yet...

2. I currently have Vista 64 bit on my Gateway. With the new Windows 7 coming out soon, not sure which I should upgrade to. Any suggestions or places I can try to get more educated on this?

Don't know which Canon you are using but SanDisk Extreme III and IV are better for the newer models. I use the Sandisk Ducati CF cards.

Get Windows 7. Many of us have been using the Microsoft free version for months and like it over Vista.

You have to borrow one from friends since the Windows 7 RC is no longer available for download. Free product key is still available from Microsoft until October 21 Windows 7 Release Candidate (RC) Download Is No Longer Available.

Thanks for the info!
I'm using my 2yr old XTi and a new 40D.
As for Win 7, there are a few versions. which is better for photo editing programs and gaming (flt sim)?
(I'm more knowledgeable in remodeling than computer stuff...)

Get 64-bit if you have 4 GB or more RAM. Check out Compare editions and Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor to see which version is better for you.

Otherwise, just get the same version as your Vista or Windows 7 professional.

BTW, avoid installing Windows 7 over your existing Vista.
