Default My turn to complain about a photog...

... at a wedding! Go figure!!

I snuck a peek at his XTI *snicker* and saw that he was using a flash that only worked when it wanted to... i.e. Once every 5 shots... and he was shooting the entire wedding at 1/50th. Hand held. Yea... good luck with that.

He frequently walked away from shots that were just fabulous and didn't take the pic. I was thoroughly unimpressed.

My favorite was when he was changing lenses and stood there for a solid 2-3 minutes with the lens off the body... randomly gesturing with his 'camera body' hand with no lens on it... yea... professional.

I hope he remembered removing the lens cap. That may explain why the flash needs five shots to charge up each time.

These are the kind of people who damage the reputation of photographers, gate-crash weddings to 'build their portfolio' and charge $500 for a wedding -- bringing the general market down even though charging for more than they're worth.

Oh!!!

I forgot to mention... He was trying to do a reverse bounce flash.... without a wall behind him! LOL Now that was funny.

I snuck a peak at his view finder while he was reviewing pictures and my flipping lord... absolutely ZERO composition, horrid shadows from the flash (when it worked) and the other half were exposed a full stop too low!

Don't hire friends who don't have a clue!

Here's betting, it was done as a favor (hopefully), hope their friendship can survive the fallout that is sure to come when the bride sees the images

I'm not so sure, her and I have talked photography before and she's an avid photog.
