hi all, I want to make a clock out of one of my shots, I have made one before but with an existing print. My question is what would be the best resolution to get a 11"x14" enlargement?
my original shot is 3648x2736. should I resize this or leave it........thanks in advance..... |

Keep as many pixels as you can! Why would you remove pixels if you don't have to?
That said, your image (3648x2736) is in a 4:3 ratio (long:short side), while 11x14 is not in that same ratio. So you will have to crop your image into the 14:11 ratio (which can easily be done with the cropping tool in Photoshop, Gimp, etc.) But remember that it's just the RATIO of the long side to the short side which determines the available print sizes, not the actual number of pixels. Images do not have any inherent size, they just have an aspect ratio which determines WHICH sizes will print correctly.

The best resolution? The HIGHEST.
