Thanks, Leisa. The way things go nowadays, it's always good to know your rights.

It's always important to know what your rights are as a photographer, but remember honey will catch more flies than vinegar.

Much thanks for posting this. Being new, I was not sure of my rights to take photos in public.

New Zealand's privacy laws are very similar to those in Aus. People shooting in NZ should be aware of this article on Unlawful Photography in Public Places. Otherwise, the article posted on NSW Photo Rights covers most of the same issues for NZ. If in doubt though, double check before shooting, because asking is much cheaper than a lawsuit

*bump*

While looking around for an answer to this elsewhere, I came across another useful site that discusses 9 Ways to avoid invasion of privacy lawsuits (always good) and also does a state by state summary (for the US) of the situation for journalists / photographers / etc. The site is called Photographers Guide to Privacy if you're looking for some information.

Default Anything specific to the Philippines? Other countries?

I know that Philippine laws are based loosely on US laws, so I'm downloading US right card.

The thing is, I'd still like to know if anybody out there has any literature specific to the Philippines. For that matter, does anybody have material specific to other countries not covered in the previous posts? Any additional information will be appreciated.
