Default New York Photography Institute

What are your thoughts on New York Photography Institute? Is it worth the money. Or does anyone else know a decent school to go to.

I don't have anything negative to say but I think your best interests would be best served by finding a community college or technical college that you could attend and participate with others.
The sharing of information and photographs first hand is invaluable, IMHO.

I'm in the military stationed overseas, so I don't have a community college or technical college local.

I have a friend her in KY doing it now and it seems pretty legit for one of his projects they got him a press for a UofL basketball game so he can get down on the sidelines to shoot photos, I dont know what they could do for you overseas though as far that type of stuff but I think it would deff be worth it since you dont have any other choices over there. It isn't that expensive either so you could even just do it to have something to do and then later go to a in person school later.

I am also looking into The New York Institute of Photography. From what I've seen and read it seems pretty good, but I've been holding off because I'd like a bit more info as well. I'm a little hesitant on handing over a thousand dollars for an online course. However, I am a full time teacher with two young children and cannot attend a class anywhere at the moment, so I am very tempted to just take the chance and see how it goes.
