Welcome! I'm a novice and have already learned a lot - though I don't think my photos really show it yet. I'm also in NC - over in the mountains (where there's so much to shoot I'm almost paralyzed with ideas sometimes!).

Thank you for the warm welcome! I was starting to think finding a friendly photography forum was a lost cause. Seems like a good atmosphere here

Oh lucky you! Hubby has lots of family in Spruce Pine. We're out here in the eastern part of the state with farm land and run down old buildings on every corner LOL

Welcome aboard! This is definitely one of the most friendly forums around, and you'll find yourself making friends and learning so much. Just take some time to review the rules to make it easier to know how and where to post, and you'll be doing just fine! Can't wait to see some of your work!

My teachers used to say, " he doesn't play well with others." I seem to do all right here.
Welcome.
FYI: It's very easy to get caught up reading and learning that you find yourself here for the better part of a day. But don't forget to use your camera from time to time. ; )

Hi there! Welcome! Another North Carolina gal here too. DPS is AWESOME! You will learn so much. If I can give you one piece of advice as a welcome to this site, it would be this.....read all the rules and stickies at the top of each forum you enter (and don't post before you do). That's it! If you do that, you will be fine! Get ready to learn, there is alot of info here!!
