I was browsing the news and they had a link to the Flickr site for the U.S. Department of State.
Flickr: U.S. Department of State's Photostream Pretty weak, as far as I'm concerned. Lots of chopping people off at the knees and crooked photos. Hard to believe someone is getting paid for that...

Holy! I think almost anyone on this site could do a better job of taking their pictures.
Typical government: We'll pay you a stupid amount of money to do a really half-assed job and then tell everyone the crappy service we're getting is invaluable.

They have on staff a photographer 24/7. Now that would be a cool gig. What breaks my heart is there are no shots of JFK.

I don't know ... there are already a few "unfortunate angle" shots just there on the first page - one pretty much giving Hillary horns, the others setting her head afire ....

I don't know who did it in the 60's, but the photos of the Kennedy's. They are great shots that will stand the test of time.
