It's probably some type of dust spot either on the sensor or more likely, on the lens. I'll let someone else cover cleaning the glass beacuse I'm not really familiar with that.

What program are using to view/edit your pictures. Most programs have a heal/clone/stamp tool that lets you replace the problem area with a clone of another area of the picture. Basically you would replace the spots with areas close by that look the same.

Hope that helps. We can give you more specific help if you let us know what program you're using.

Did you purchase the camera from an actual camera shop? If so, I'd take it to them and let them clean it for you. Nothing wrong with trying to clean it yourself, but if the camera shop messes anything up, they are liable for repairs or replacement. Since it's been a problem since you bought the camera, they should do it for free or at least at a discount.

Thank you both for your help.

Is this something i can learn how to do myself? or is it advisable not to attempt it? I only ask as i photograph kids a fair bit and get hands on (or rather they get hands on with my camera) with the pictures lol

Great shots come from it but it's not such good news for my camera

You can Google it and come up with several tutorial videos and websites that will tell you how to do it yourself, and most of them are probably really good, but if you're not too sure of yourself you'd be better off having it done for you. Like I said before, if the shop breaks something, they are liable, if you break something, you've got a fancy paperweight with interchangeable lenses.

Its not the lens, it is dust on the sensor. It will be in the same spot on the photos all the time. You need to clean the sensor. First try a rocket blower - it might work. If not it needs to be cleaned. There are DIY ways, or you could send it to the mfg or take it to a camera shop if you don't want to attack it.

Yep you're spot on (scuse the pun) it's in the same place on EVERY photo.

Advise taken on board guys, it's off to the shop for a clean up.

Thanks
