Are you referring to the debate over Mac vs PC? That's pretty unavoidable no matter where you go. Or is it the one about posting your gear in your signature? That was just one poster's attempt at arguing for the sake of an argument. I think it was settled pretty quickly though. If there are other examples of arguing that I haven't seen yet, please point them out.

you'll never get away from arugments. there are many different characters in people. for example, you have 50 people in a room, each one of those are going to have different characters and some wont be very nice. when there are some touchy subjects being presented (i raise my hands in defeat for start the pc vs mac - i needed some info to make an educated decision) there are going to be people with certain opinions that not everyone agrees with and having it on the internet doesnt help either when you cant judge peoples tones sometimes.
it happens - theres nothing wrong with it as long as it doesnt get to the point of swearing and where really bad insults are thrown

arguments are a part of life. avoid the drama hehe.
everyone has an "opinion". the only time i pipe in that i can remember is when someone is being overtly rude.

It's called "Growing Pains". This forum used to be small & intimate. Once any forum starts to get recognized across the web, there will always be those people that have to cause waves. Even still, given the number of members we have, it's been very good around here.
I've always said though that I think we need a bouncer around here to weed out the trouble makers. ![]() ![]()

My three passions in life are biking, birdwatching and (now) photography. I was a regular reader of forums on a motorcycle web site here in the UK, but only for a short time. I was disgusted and ashamed to be part of the biking fraternity briefly when reading some of the entries. Argumentative (for arguments sake), highly personal and insulting and to cap it off for me, uncensored foul language. What a pleasure it is to read educationally argumentative entries with meaning and depth from which one can at least learn something. I am enjoying all your photo's and comments and learning so much. Thanks. Paul

To all- I understand this is life... I am not saying I think intelligent arguments are wrong, it just seems like sometimes people are only out to be outrageous and get noticed. And sometimes people just seem ready to strike at all times. Or, like you said enZee, the tone of a statement can't really be read over the internet. But I was only saying this after reading all the posts in the past few days that had me a little down. I know this place is usually more friendly.

This is a friendly site, dammit and I'll argue with anyone who says it isn't!
![]() Now really, I think it is a basically the friendliest site I've been associated with. Its like a big family and like a big family, you always have that one cousin or uncle that wants to argue about everything and can sometimes come off kind of cruel. I guess you just got to get to know them. Cousin Mark
