Default I have a 70-200mm f/2.8L IS for one weekend...

Just rented this lens for the weekend, and I have two plans for shooting so far. First is a zoo trip, second is a kid's soccer game. I'd hate to not get the most that I can out of this lens (and what a monster it is) so what else should I shoot?

The kicker is that I have a two month old at home, so things close to home (Winnipeg, MB in this case) are preferred.

I ask you, DPS, what would you do with a $2k professional lens for the weekend?

I would relish having a usable indoor telephoto zoom. Also, when you're at the zoo?--do all those underwater/in-a-cave/reptile house shots with it that an f/5.6 won't let you.

A local camera shop does it here. I think I can rent a 600mm f/4L too.

$70CDN for Friday noon until Monday noon.

Well, the zoo trip is done, and it sounds like the soccer game tomorrow has fallen through, so we are going to a waterbird refuge thingy instead.

I have to say the lens is just awesome. It really is as advertised. Got this beauty today:

Stellar's Sea Eagle

I need $2k CDN, like right now.

From Don's Photo. They are mostly in the prairies though. I think Henry's rents as well, but don't quote me on that...
