I use a CP for outdoor photos, but take it off for my indoor shots.

I have UV ones to protect the lens but that is it. The only one I would deffo consider using would be a CP one.

Not that it matters to me currently but I do hear things like you have to be careful because a filter can reduce the quality of a really really good quality lens

Default Filters

I used always the UV day or night and add to it the polariser when needed, all other filters and stuff is done during photoshop. When I used film I would have a wide assortment of filters for both black & white and colour.

Yes, i technically use filters on my camera.

I have a UV filter and a CP filter, although i havent had chance to use the CP filter yet.

I mainly use the UV filter as a protector and to hold some coloured discs in place to give colour to my photo's. But i dont use these that much,

ike,

In the past, I have used a red filter while shooting underwater. I barely use it anymore, as I have invested in a better strobe. On land, I've never used any filters.

I had a uv filter on my old film camera in high school. I dropped the camera and broke the filter but the lens was safe. From that point on I have some type of filter on all my lenses. Right now I just have the uv ones but hopefully for x-mas I will get some others. (are you listening Santa?)

Thanks for the excellent links, Nicole. For infrared photography I use an R72 IR filter as well as a Pol-fader cross polarizer and a neutral density filter as needed. A UV filter stays on all lenses as a means of protection. For macro photography, I'll occasionally use a set of magnifying diopters (+1. +2 and +3). When I need a normal polarizing filter, I use a Hoya circular polarizer.

UV on my lens for protection.

I have a Polariser, and inherited ND and 'Star Eight' Filter when I bought the camera off a friend.

Used the ND in bright areas like Aussie Beaches and out on the lakes and things. The Star Eight has come in handy for a couple of DPS assignments dealing with light and stuff. Don't use it for everyday photography though.
