Default Scared and Excited

Well, at the risk of being labled a hypocrit for posting on a non-photo topic (and deservedly so) I'll share my mood.

I'm scared and elated. My three stepchildren are flying in from Peru today to live here. My wife has not seen her children in three years. She's made amazing sacrifices in order to start a new life and to give her children opportunities. We started the process 10 months ago to bring them here and we finally cleared all the paperwork just yesterday.

I've only ever been an every-other-holiday and summer father to my now 25 year old daughter so this is a little scary to me, but I think I'm up for the challenge. We pick them up at Seatac late this morning. Going to be a lot of hugs and tears.

Good thing is I now have three new models. :-)

I woke up this morning with a slight headache. The weather was crappy and so was my mood. But, there was some sunshine later and a few good things happened, so right now I feel full of energy and enthusiasm.

That's a touching story. It just made me think about how we hang around with other people on the internet, but rarely think about what's going on in their lives.
