Sometimes money causes more problems than no money at all.

The real killer is that if she defaults (likely), she loses the rights to all of her biggest photos as they were part of the collateral she put up for the loan in the first place.

Let's all whine because she risks losing $24 mil, really. She could share some of it with me, as a matter of fact, I'll give her my paypal address right now!

I wanna get paid $100,000 PER private portrait!!! I mean, come ON.

Seems like she's got more money than sense when it comes to just blowing it on townhouses and apartments all over the world.

Anybody else remember the Paul McCartney/Michael Jackson copyright fight? It would be a shame for somebody else to have the rights to the work that you did. But if she had that much money, she should have spent it a *bit* wiser.

Kinda like borrowing money to start your own photography business, when you really don't know the business.

I kind of agree with madison here. She put it up as collateral. If she defaults, it's not the banks fault. We shouldn't be feeling sorry for her. Pity that she got in that situation...but feel sorry for her? Not really.

Sounds like she got caught up in a lifestyle that bit her.

there are photographers on this site that take as good if not better photos than this person (not me yet )the only difference is she has access to the so called stars .i think if i had taken John Lennons or the Queens photo it still would have sold big time in turn enhancing my reputation, and because of this other people say "lets use him he took photos of .........so he must be good " More money than sense ,,,,yes ,,,More contacts than talent,,,,,,yes. anyway just my 2 bobs worth regards kym

I read about this a couple of weeks ago in the New York Times. She just kept leveraging herself and now she will have to pay the price. It's a pity but I don't really feel sorry for her.
