Default Recommend Photography Books

Greeting Guys,

I have been shooting photos for the past nine months now. I have mostly ready tutorials online regarding the basics in photography - rule of thirds, composition and so on. Moreover, I've gone through most of the articles here at Digital Photography School and a dozen other websites. I think it's time for me to start reading photography books as they tend to have a lot more juicy information

What do you guys recommend? I am also looking for books relating to Lightroom too

And please don't list down those type of books like - "An Idiot's guide to photography"

Thanks and awaiting for your replies!

Some I've read that I found very helpful:

Scott Kelby's Digital Photography Book, Vol 1 & 2
Understanding Exposure (Revised Edition) - Bryan Peterson
The Photographers Eye - Michael Freeman

For LR - Scott Kelby's Lightroom 2 Book for digital photographers

Thanks for the prompt reply, Bluenoser. I'll check out those books on Amazon.

Anything you can recommend me for Photoshop Elements (I'm a total newbie here) and Adobe Photoshop for Photo Editing?

Thanks again guys

I'm a big fan of the Scott Kelby books, too. The Lightroom 2 book gets you using LR right away. He writes books about photoshop also, but I haven't read those (although his style is such that I imagine they'd be pretty good).
