You know the photo. It was sent worldwide on wires by Barcroft News and Photo Agency. in the UK, notoriuous for tabloidy journalism. Barcroft says it is a real photo, not photoshopped or digitally altered at all. They even said they interviwed the cameramn, Michael Nolan, very well respected photograhed. They said photo was taken on July 19, 2009. They say is looks like image of woman crying for Mother eath. It does. question: is someone playing fast and loose with the rules here or is there a real genuine photo taken this year on july 19, 2009?
I believe there is something fishy going on here. From other posts on this website, esp from LisaNella, I feel that maybe all is not what it seems here. Would love to hear from others about this media company in the UK and if they think the photo is real or not. I hope I am wrong. I want to be wrong. And if I am wrong, I was say I was wrong. I am wrong half the time. see my blog here Northward Ho: Crying Face in Glacier: Fake Photoshopped Photo or Real Photo? Comments welcome below: we believe Barcroft Media with Spe******tStock is faking this |

LOL. yes, many blogs are saying this. also some say it's Mary mother of jesus. ANd Obama too. But all questions of WHo aside, what i need to know URGENTLY asap, is do you know or think the photo was altered or photoshopped? i did hear from a low assistant at the agency who told me the photo was real and that he spoke with the cameraman, but there are still many holes in the holy story. I am NOT a cameraman. I don't know anything about pics or photos. But do you think this photo could have been photo shopped or digitally altered and is there any way to prove it or show it? I do not think the cameraman is to blame, he is a professional from USA. But LisaNella has had some bad experiecnes with his agency in the UK, so i am looking into this. I might be wrong. I often am. The damage is already done, in that the photo has now gone viral, and the agency already pocked its cash. And the cameraman got paid too. BUT just to find out the truth, do you think this photo is genuine? I don't. WHY? Ask me offline at danbloom AT gmail

Put in simple terms, I haven't read any articles regarding this image but it's quite possible that it is genuine and it is quite possible that it's a fake. Very difficult to prove.
Don't forget that most (is not all) of the images you see in magazines have been manipulated to some degree. |

I do exist, and would love to know how to delete or suspend this post!
We have found lots of excellent photographers from Lightstalkers, and continue to commission people based upon their profiles. Cheers by Sam Barcroft | 13 Aug 2007 13:08 | London, United Kingdom Does Sam Barcroft really exist? Sorry I just had to ask. I reckon this is becoming the longest thread (or at least the one with the greatest longetivity!) by lisa hogben at Mon Aug 13 05:31:55 UTC 2007 (ed. His agency is very well respected by the picture editors on the national papers I work for over here in the UK. Its just that some LS’ ers seem unable to notice that this post is so old and also are under the misapprehension that if they post all their details on here Sam will still be looking and have the time to contact each and every one of them. I’ve pointed this out and so have lots of others-but nobody bothers to read these postings and so it goes on and on. I will say it one last time though-Sam is’nt responding anymore to this post as far as I am aware. Contact him direct at ::: barcroft media ::: It’s a bit like some of the letters the Picture Editor at The Telegraph gets nearly every week-“Dear Sir, I am a photographer and am available for work at your newspaper anywhere in the world, blah, blah, blah” Sorry folks but its not going to work like that -you need to show that you can do the job and supply something tangible like a photo story which the paper might be interested in using. Simply saying “Hi, I’m here, available for hire” doesn’t get things rolling and might even come across as a bit arrogant. Best wishes, JR. by JR, (John Watts-Robertson). | 13 Aug 2007 06:08 (ed. The question is not about pareidolia. It is about whether this foto has been faked, not by the cameraman, but perhaps by his UK tabloid agency? |
